Happy #worldorcaday
Today we celebrate these magnificent Cetaceans as we do everyday! World Orca Day is designed to celebrate and educate about the different Orca eco types found around the world. In the Salish Sea we encounter Bigg’s Killer Whales (marine mammal eaters) in increasing numbers and regularity. SRKW’s (fish eaters) are now hardly seen in their traditional spring and summer feeding grounds on the Salish Sea due to a lack of Chinook Salmon We need the Government to do more to restore Wild Chinook Salmon if we wish to see the SRKW’s thrive in the Salish Sea like their cousins, Bigg’s Killer Whales. #nofishnoblackfish @hellobc @destinationgreatervictoria #welikeourwhaleswild#salishsea#yesvictoria#explorebcnow #explorebc #explorevictoriabc#explorebclocal#ExploreBC#bctourismcounts#whales#whalesofinstagram#humpbackwhale#humpbacks#whaleseason#orca#orcas#orcawhale#victoria#victoriabc#victoriabccanada#vancouverisland#vancouverislandexplorer#vancouverislandbc#vancouverislandlife#bc#canada#discovervictoriabc#wearepwwa
