Ollie the Otter

a brown bear swimming in the water

Today we are featuring our favourite Sea Otter, “Ollie’ 😍 “Ollie” is a satellite male, who first appeared near Becher Bay about 10 years ago and has found a home at Race Rocks.

‘Ollie’ and other Sea Otters are a keystone species as they help control the number of Sea Urchins that attack Kelp, which is vitally important to the ocean eco-system.
So today we give a huge thank you to ‘Ollie” and the other Sea Otters that are helping to keep the ocean balance, Thanks Ollie🥰
